On Friday 25 July, Lutheran Disability Services proudly celebrated a significant milestone, our 40th Anniversary.
The evening brought together current and former staff, clients and their families, current and former Board members, supporters and community partners to reflect on four decades of service, connection and inclusion. It was a wonderful opportunity to honour the people who have shaped Lutheran Disability Services over the past 40 years and celebrate the impact we have made together.
Held in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, the anniversary dinner was filled with laughter, conversation and many cherished memories. Throughout the evening, guests heard from a number of speakers who shared stories from LDS’s early years, reflected on important milestones along the journey and spoke about the bright future ahead.
The stories shared highlighted the dedication, compassion and commitment of countless individuals who have contributed to the organisation’s success over the years. From humble beginnings to the vibrant and thriving service we are today, the evening reminded everyone of the importance of community, advocacy and person-centred support.
As we celebrated our history, we also took time to acknowledge the many people who continue to support our vision. We are deeply grateful to our clients, families, staff, volunteers, Board members, donors and community partners whose encouragement and commitment have helped Lutheran Disability Services grow and evolve over the past four decades.
