Going the Distance: City to Bay 2026

There was plenty of determination and team spirit on display over the weekend as a number of our clients took part in the 2026 City to Bay.

From experienced City to Bay participants to those taking on new distances and personal goals, everyone embraced the challenge and achieved something they could be proud of.

This year, our clients took on a range of distances, completing the 3km, 6km and 12km events, while one determined client, David, went even further, successfully completing the half marathon.

For many, City to Bay was about much more than crossing the finish line. It was an opportunity to set a personal goal, build confidence, stay active and be part of one of South Australia’s most iconic community events. The sense of achievement at the end of the day was evident on every smiling face.

Along the way there were plenty of high-fives, words of encouragement and memorable moments shared with friends, support workers and fellow participants. Whether walking, jogging or running, everyone tackled the course at their own pace and celebrated their individual achievements.

Events like City to Bay highlight the importance of inclusion, participation and creating opportunities for people to engage with their community in ways that are meaningful to them. We are incredibly proud of everyone who took part and the commitment they showed in preparing for and completing their chosen distance.

A huge congratulations to everyone on their fantastic efforts. We hope you enjoy looking through some of the highlights from the day in the photo gallery below.

Well done, Team LDS! 🏅
